EMILY ADELMAN
Okemos
Adelman skied on the women's varsity
three years and was co-captain. She is a
member of the National Honor Society
and was nominated for the Michigan
Scholar Athlete Award. She attended
Camp Ramah and its Summer Seminar in
Israel. She will attend the University
of Michigan College of Engineering.
LORI BABCOCK
Andover
Babcock is captain of the varsity pompon
squad, senior class secretary, a member of
National Honor Society, Student
Congress, a four-year representative on
Student Leadership, a member of Spanish
Club and was given the Cum Laude
award for excellence. She will attend the
University of Michigan.
DAVID BEZNOS
Berkley
Beznos is a National Merit finalist, mem-
ber of National Honor Society, Future
Problem Solving, Quiz Bowl and sym-
phony. He was an officer of Marx and
Michigan Region AZA. He won the
Bausch & Lomb Science Award and the
Evan Shapiro Memorial Scholarship. He
will attend the University of Pennsylvania.
DAVID ADLER
Andover
Adler is a member of National Honor
Society, Chamber Singers, Octet and
Michigan State Vocal Music Honors
Choir. He has been in seven musical and
dramatic productions. He was a state
finalist on Andover's state championship
Forensics team, and ran track. He will
emcee Andover's Honors Night. He will
attend the University of Michigan.
NITSAN BEN-GAL
North Farmington
Ben-Gal is assistant captain of Quiz Bowl,
a member of the Japanese Club, and vari-
ous choirs. She is a four-year member of
Ahava BBG, the Birmingham Temple
Youth Group and Wednesday School. She
won first place in the state in National
Math League, and Dean's Merit, Telluride
and Regents-Alumni scholarships to the
University of Michigan.
ALAYNA BIALICK
Southfield-Lathrup
Bialick is a member of National Honor
Society, Phi Beta Kappa, Scholars Plus
and the Abraham Joshua Heschel Honor
Society. She was on class board, varsity
soccer and tennis, and was president of
Beth Shalom USY. She served on the
Robert Kornwise Judaica Weekend plan-
ning committee for two years. She will
attend the University of Michigan.
RACHEL AVIV
Cranbrook-Kingswood
Co-captain of the tennis team, Aviv is
ranked 156th nationally in girls 18's. She
writes for the newspaper, plays first clar-
inet in symphony band, was vice presi-
dent of freshman class, won a gold medal
in the National Latin exam, and received
the Strickland Writing Award and the
Wellesley College Book Award. She will
attend Brown or Yale.
BENJAMIN BERSHAD
West Bloomfield
Bershad is a member of National Honor
Society, Temple
Shalom, and on
Greenberg AZA executive board for three
years. He was field commander and other
positions in marching band. He appeared
in Music Man and Camelot. He will study
electrical engineering and computer science
with a Regents-Alumni Scholarship at the
University of Michigan.
AVITAL BLANCHARD
Akiva
Blanchard is a four-year member of varsi-
ty basketball, student council representa-
tive, as well as a member of Bnei Akiva
and Phi Beta Kappa. She participated in
Model United Nations, serving this year
as team captain. She will attend the
University of Michigan.
