Frances Malin and
Sylvia and Philip
Schonberger. He is
so the grandson of
the late-Isadore
"Izzy" Malin.
Keith is a sev-
enth-grade honor
student at Orchard
Lake Middle School in West
Bloomfield. He enjoys composing
and playing music, swimming, com-
puters and biking. Keith plays alto
saxophone in the jazz and sympho-
ny bands at school as well as in the
Kids Klez Band of Michigan.
For his mitzvah projects, Keith
has been a fourth-grade aide and
Hebrew tutor this school year at
Temple Beth El and also volun-
teered at COTS, making and serv-
ing food to homeless people.

Stefanie Jennifer Schostak will be
called to the Torah
as a bat mitzvah on
her birthday,
Saturday, May 13,
at Adat Shalom
Synagogue. Rabbis
Daniel Nevins and
Herbert Yoskowitz,
along with Cantor
Howard Glantz,
will lead the ser-
vice.
Stefanie is the daughter of Elyse
and Jerry Schostak. She is the sister
of Lindsey, and also Robert, David,
Richard and Mark and their respec-
tive wives, Nancy, Elise, Dorit and
Lillian. Proud grandparents are
Elaine-and Clarence Guttentag and
Goldie Schostak. Stefanie is also the
granddaughter of the late Louis H.
Schostak.
A seventh-grade honor student at
Hillel Day School of Metropolitan
Detroit in Farmington Hills,
Stefanie enjoys snow skiing, snow
boarding, tennis, travel and attend-
ing the theater. Stefanie's most
meaningful mitzvah experience is
her continued involvement with
Jewish Association for Residential
Care.

Alan Edward
Shreve will cele-
brate his bar mitz-
vah on Saturday,
May 13, at Temple
Israel. He is the son
of Barbara
Jacknow-Shreve
and Mark Shreve

and brother of Lauren. Pleased'
-
grandparents are Dorothy and
Edward Shreve and Zenia and Dr.
Irving Lefton. He is also the grand-
son of the late Dr. Albert Jacknow.
Among his mitzvah projects,
Alan volunteered at Yad Ezra and
assisted at Temple Israel's Labor
Day picnic. Attending West Hills
Middle School in Bloomfield Hills,
where he is an honor student, Alan
enjoys computers, basketball, base-
ball and music.

Zachary Arthur Stein will celebrate
his bar mitzvah on Saturday, May
13, at Havdala services at Temple
Israel. He is the son of Lynn and
Stan Stein and brother of Rebekah.
Proud grandmoth-
ers are Beverly
Morrison -Ind
Vivian Stein. He is
also the grandson
of the late Ronald
Morrison and the
late Dr. Arthur
Stein.
On the basket-
ball and wrestling teams at West
Hills Middle School in Bloomfield
Hills, Zachary plays golf on the
Michigan Power-Bilt Junior Tour
and ice hockey. He is also an avid
Michigan State University sports
fan. Zachary's mitzvah projects
included volunteering at the Pontiac
Rescue Mission and planting trees
in Israel through the Jewish
National Fund.

Friday, May 12, at
Temple Israel. He
is the son of
Deborah and Dr.
Milton Stern and
brother of Noah
and Max. Devoted
grandparents are
Shirley and David Moscow and Lois
Stern. He is also the grandson of
the late Dr. Frank Stern.
A student at West Bloomfield's
Orchard Lake Middle School, Zack
is interested in sports, especially
soccer, basketball and golf. He visit-
ed Elan Village Nursing Home as
part of his mitzvah project.
