WHILE HE WAS at Pine Knob
with his group, The Four Seasons,
back in 1974, Frankie Valli showed
he's more than just another superstar.
Meeting him at a barbecue here,
two of the guests, Milt and Jewel
Weiss, mentioned that his record,
"Can't Take My Eyes Off of You" was
responsible for getting them together
half a dozen years before.
Milt and Jewel sat in the front row
at Pine Knob, and Frankie came over
and sang "their song" to them ... It was
a touching moment for the couple ...
and one that they wouldn't forget too
easily.
Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons
will be at Andiamo Italia, 14 Mile
Road, between Mound and Van Dyke,
in Warren, Wednesday and Thursday,
May 17 and 18.
SAME SHOPPING center but in a

new Middle-Eastern restaurant, Al-
Shallal ... The Southfield Commons on
Southfield Road, a block north of 12
Mile Road, is where he had his former
Pyramids ... The present 170-seater of

Happiness Gardens.
THE HIGHEST award in scouting
has been given to Dr. Gertrude Leve-
Gordon ... in recognition of her won-
derful accomplishments as founder of
the Helen Field Learning Center ...
and Gertrude's magnificent contribu-
tions in the work of scouting for hand-
icappers.
At The Trowbridge, Gertrude enter-
tains other residents with her fine
piano playing ... At Helen Field,
Gertrude is not only the principal, but
also writes shows ... Her latest in May
features the entire student population,
ranging in age from 3 to 26.
