Bar/Bat Mitzvah

Jaime Blair Gerstein

will celebrate her bat
mitzvah at Temple
Israel on Friday, May
19. She is the daugh-
ter of Barbara and
Dr. Lawrence
Gerstein and sister of
Jonathan, Stacie and
Pamela. Excited
grandparents are Frances and Irving
Gerstein and Beatrice and Irving
Winston.
Jaime's most meaningful mitzvah
project was taking part in a dance
program where proceeds went toward
fighting pediatric AIDS and juvenile
diabetes. A student at West Hills
Middle School in Bloomfield Hills,
Jaime is interested in dancing,
singing, acting, basketball, volleyball
and soccer, as well as computers and
attending camp. She is proud to be
chanting the same Torah portion as
did her father, mother and brother at
their own b'nai mitzvah occasions.

Scott Jeremy Gordon was called to

the Torah as a bar mitzvah at Adat
Shalom Synagogue on Saturday, May
6. He is the son of
Susan and Dr. Craig 4 -
Gordon and brother
of Sari and Brittany.
Delighted grandpar-
ents are Shirley and
Maury Gordon and
Betty Blase. He is
also the grandson of
the late Bernard
Blase and the late
Shirley P. Gordon.
Scott is an honor student at
Orchard Lake Middle School in West
Bloomfield. He enjoys the computer,
video games, playing sports with his
friends and listening to music.

Nicole Elizabeth Kraft will celebrate

her bat mitzvah at Temple Israel on
Friday, May 12. She is the daughter
of Shelly and Walter Kraft and sister
of Ryan and Jason.
Proud grandparents
are Lenore and
Eddie Mitteldorf,
Virginia Kraft and
Walter Kraft.
An honor student
at Warner Middle
School in
Farmington Hills,
Nicole enjoys competitive dancing,
skiing, gymnastics and attending

Camp Walden. She found it particu-
larly meaningful to dance at a presen-
tation at Fleischman Residence.

Brandon Eli Kwaselow will become a

bar mitzvah on Saturday, May 13, at
Temple Israel. He is
the son of Sasha
Kwaselow and Dr.
Alan Kwaselow and
brother of Adam.
Proud grandmother
is Dena Kwaselow.
He is also the grand-
son of the late
Morris Kwaselow
and the late Betty and Dr. Arthur
Wittenberg.
An honor student at Orchard Lake
Middle School in West Bloomfield,
Brandon plays tuba in the symphony
band. He enjoys collecting coins and
cards, bike and horseback riding,
computers, tae kwon do and serving
as a baseball umpire. Brandon's most
meaningful mitzvah project was vol-
unteering at Menorah House; he also
assisted at Temple Israel's book fair
and tutors in the Sunday school.

Jordan Patchak will be called to the

Torah as a bar mitz-
vah on Saturday,
May 13, at Temple
Kol Ami. He is the
son of Dana and
Tom Patchak, broth-
er of Nina, and
grandson of Marlene
Kulman, the late
Samuel Kulman and
the late Emilie and Walter Patchak.
Jordan is a seventh-grade honor
student at Berkshire Middle School in
Birmingham. His interests are art,
playing the cello, camping, skiing and
snorkeling.
Jordan's mitzvah projects included
assisting in the preparation of grocery
bags for the Yom Kippur food drive,
volunteering at the Apples and
Honey project at the Jewish
Community Center and working
with children associated with the
Friendship Circle.
Jordan will also have another bar
mitzvah ceremony at Masada this
summer, during his family's trip to
Israel.

Keith Alan Schonberger will be
called to the Torah as a bar mitzvah
on Saturday; May 13, at Temple Beth
El. Keith is the son of Elaine and
Mark Schonberger and brother of
Michael. Very proud grandparents are
