Denise is an honor student at Hillel
Day School of Metropolitan Detroit in
Farmington Hills. She enjoys dancing,
acting and reading.
Denise's most meaningful mitzvah
projects were volunteering at Yad Ezra
kosher food pantry and the Jewish
Association for Residential Care, as well
as working at the Beth Ahm summer
day camp.
Megan Fidler will become a bat mitz-
vah on Saturday, May 6, at Temple Kol
Ami. She is the daughter of Bruce and
Lori Fidler, sister of
Stephanie Fidler,
granddaughter of Bert
and Lois Loewenstein
and Ivan and Connie
Fidler.
Megan is a student
at Abbott Middle
School in West
Bloomfield. She plays
trumpet and enjoys drama, dance,
singing and skiing.
Megan's mitzvah projects includ-
ed helping with Jewish Experiences
For Families, Temple Kol Ami reli-
gious school and a children's carni-
val. She also collected books for a
book drive.
Jamie Erin Gans will become a bat
mitzvah at Temple Beth El on Friday,
May 5. She is the
daughter of Beth and
David Gans and sister

An honor student at Bloomfield
Hills Middle School, Jamie enjoys
swimming, aerobics, skiing, forensics
and summers at Camp Walden.
Among her mitzvah projects, she
enjoyed making dolls for Hadassah,
volunteering at Yad Ezra kosher food
pantry and helping to raise money to
combat diabetes.
Rebecca Marie Klein will be called to
the Torah as a bat mitzvah on Saturday,
May 6, at Temple
SEmanu-El. Rebecca is
the daughter of
Sheldon and Donna
Klein, sister of Grace
and the beloved
granddaughter of
Gloria and Irwin
Klein of West
Bloomfield and of
Doris and Bruce MacMurray of
Gulfport, Fla.
Rebecca is an honor student at
Derby Middle School in Birmingham,
where she is the sole oboe player in the
seventh-grade band. Rebecca is active in
scouting, -as a Cadette Girl Scout in
Troop 1889, and as a member of the
scout-sponsored Lego robotics team.
For her mitzvah projects, Rebecca vol-
unteered at Baldwin Public Library,
Pierce Elementary School and at
Temple Emanu-El. She enjoys comput-
ers and babysitting.
Hannah Alisa Leonard will become a
bat mitzvah on Saturday, May 6, at
Temple Israel. She is
the daughter of Janet
and Norbert Leonard
and sister of Gillian.

honor roll. Her hobbies include dance,
art, swimming and skiing.

Israel on Friday, May.
