Kaitlyn (Kit) Seltzer will be called to
the Torah as a bat mitzvah at HavdP la
services on Saturday, May 6, at Temple
Israel. She is the daughter of Lori and
Michael Seltzer and
sister of Justin. Excited
grandmothers are
Estelle Seltzer and
Irene Leach. She is also
the grandchild of the
late Bob Seltzer and
the late Tom Leach.
A Birmingham
Covington Middle School student, Kit
likes soccer and snowboarding. Among
her mitzvah projects, she collected blan-
kets, which were donated to a homeless
-
shelter; she also volunteered at
Fleischman Residence, where she assist-
ed the residents with crafts projects.

Dustin Thomas Wachter will celebrate
his bar mitzvah on Friday, May 5, at
Temple Israel. He is the son of Lori and
Andrew Wachler and brother of Jordan.
Proud grandparents are Eileene and
Jeffrey Wachler. He is also the grandson
of the late Lucille and
Tom Thomas.
Attending Norup
Middle School in
Oak Park, where he is
on the honor roll and
track and basketball
teams, Dustin plays
travel soccer and likes
to snowboard. His
most meaningful mitzvah project
involved participation in a competition
that raised over $2,000 for children
with leukemia. He also assisted the
Woodstrivers with children who are
physically challenged and babysat at
Temple Israel during services.

Saturday, May 6,

Jewish hospice patients.

Noah Zachary Ryan will be called to
the Torah as a bar mitzvah on Saturday,
May 6, at Temple Chai in Phoenix,
Ariz. Noah is the son of Lori and Jim
Ryan, who grew up in Michigan, and
brother of Gabrielle.
Excited are great-
grandmother Ellen
Moss and grandpar-
ents Marilyn Fine
and Dean Fine, Jo
Ann Ryan and Larry
Ryan. Noah is the
great-grandson of the
late Milton Moss,
Ceil and Harry Fine and Margaret
Crippen. Also participating in the cere-
mony will be uncles Alan and Joel Fine
of San Diego.
Noah is a seventh-grade student at
Desert Canyon Middle School in
Scottsdale, where he enjoys music and
sports, especially in-line skating. For his
mitzvah project, he volunteered for
Scottsdale Center for the Arts and
Scottsdale arts festivals.
