The site is not perfect — the pages
are a little slow to load, and the ads
are irritating. Why is there a wine ad
on a kid's page?
Still, VJ's Passover site is a good
place to begin your Passover cyber-

Also worth checking out is the out-

concise description of the origins of
Passover and its meaning, making
good use of pictures and maps. A
"Power of Pesach" section seeks to
enhance the spiritual power of
Passover with "insights from the lead-
ing yeshivot."
"Pesach Parade" has an ambigu-
ous name, but it's really a pretty
good children's section with a sim-
plified version of the Passover story,
recipes for kids and activities.
There's also an "Ask the Rabbi"
feature, a small art gallery, an online
Passover store and a modest collec-
tion of holiday recipes. These
include some unusual selections,

customs with an interesting but not
overpowering chasidic flavor, includ-
ing a how-to guide, recipes and a lot
of features for kids. Especially nice are
the Passover stories.
The Chabad folks also promise a
"find a seder" directory in the next
few days to help Jews who otherwise
would be observing alone as the holi-
day begins.
Aish HaTorah, the big Orthodox
outreach group, has one of the most
lavish Passover sites on the Web.
This year, it was one of the earliest.
Look to Aish www.aish.org for
"Haggada insights," family activities,
essays on the.meaning of freedom, and
