Rabbinical School of the Jewish
Theological Seminary in New York.
The weekend will conclude with
Rabbi Nevin's installation at 7 p.m.
Sunday, April 30. Officiating will be
Rabbi William Lebeau, JTS vice chan-
cellor for rabbinic development.
Community leaders participating in
the program will include Penny
Blumenstein, president of the Jewish
Federation of Metropolitan Detroit;
Rabbi Dannel Schwartz of Temple Shir
Shalom, president of the 'Michigan
Board of Rabbis; the Rev. Mark
Jensen, president of the Farmington
Area Interfaith Association; and Rabbi
Leonardo Bitran of Congregation
Shaarey Zedek, president of the
Rabbinical Assembly Michigan
Region. The ceremony will be followed
by a champagne dessert reception.
Rabbi Nevins has served Adat
Shalom since his ordination from JTS
in 1994. He is a member of the
Conservative movement's Committee
on Jewish Law and Standards.

name Rabbi Nevins as our rabbinic
leader and to celebrate another mile-
stone in the history of our congrega-
tion," said Adat Shalom President
Terran Leemis.
Sharon Hart, Beverly Liss and Allan
Nachman are chairing the celebration
weekend.
The charge for the Shabbat dinner
is $18 for adults; $8 for children.
There is no charge for the Shabbat
and Sunday programs. Reservations
are requested for the dinner as well as
the light lunch on Shabbat and
Sunday's reception and ceremony. For
