Family Rafting
Trip In May

The Jewish Community Center of
Metropolitan Detroit and Tamarack
Camps are sponsoring a Memorial
Day weekend family white water raft-
ing trip on the New River in
Fayetteville, W. Va.
The trip will be from Friday, May 26,
through Monday, May 29. It includes
rafting, camping, meals (with a vegetari-
an option) and transportation.
Additional options: mountain biking,
climbing, rappelling and hotels.

WS Seeks
Fbz-Up Team

Jewish Family Service is looking for
planning committee members for the
annual Fall Fix-Up Project.
Fall-Fix-Up is a family-oriented vol-
unteer event aimed at serving the com-
munity's homebound older adults who
are in need of minor home repairs and
indoor/outdoor clean up. It will be held
9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5. Teams
of volunteers will rake leaves, hang pic-
tures, clean/organize basements, winter-
ize windows, change light bulbs and do
other minor home repairs.
Committee members will be asked
to attend monthly meetings, June
through October, at the JFS office in
Southfield.
