verbal process, and we've done some-
thing similar non-verbally.
When Tucker presents her religious
school workshop, she will focus on
finding dance in Jewish traditions and
will encourage participants to move
either standing up or in their seats.
When she does the university work-
shops, the choreographer will explore
the process of improvisation.

University.

few times, and I've been the artist-in-
residence at Camp Maas," Tucker
recalls. "I've worked with Harriet Berg,
who is a wonderful friend, and I was in
the program that celebrated her 75th
birthday. I've also brought the troupe
to Temple Israel and Temple Beth El."
Among Tucker's favorite perfor-
mances is a Chicago recital that
included a gospel choir and was for a
mixed audience representing a syna-
gogue and a church.
"I think it's important for different
ethnic groups to come together," she
says.
