She twice traveled to the former Soviet Union with Dr. Nemeth when the Russians needed his expertise to upgrade their programs to educate the blind. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Abraham Nemeth; son and daughter- in-law, Richard and Julie Lazar of Toledo, Ohio; daughters and sons-in- law, Janis and Robert Colton of Chevy Chase, Md., Joyce and Marvin Alpiner of Granger, Ind.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchil- dren.
