e've always been led to
believe that it's better to
give than to receive.
And, yes, it's certainly
gratifying to present someone you love
with a thoughtful token of your affec-
tion, something that you've chosen
especially for him or her.
Gift-giving, however, can prove to
be angst-ridden. What if she hates it?
What if it's something he can't possi-
bly use? - What if she already has three
of those or he doesn't appreciate the
impracticality of your choice?
