Marla (Wein) and Steven Nelick of
Bethesda, Md., welcome with much
love the birth of their son, Grant
Preston (Simcha Pesach). Thrilled
grandparents are Marsha and David
Wein of Bloomfield Hills and

Jackie (Muha) and Gordon Miller,

Lawrence (Adam Levi). Welcoming him
home is big sister Erin, 3 1/2. Adam is the
first grandson for Suzanne and Kenneth
Shmarak of West Bloomfield and Libby
and Acher Ben-Moche of Farmington
Hills. Adam is named in loving memory
of his maternal great-grandmother
Hannah Plotkin Schulman and his

Dr. Eric and Miha (Cazan) Todd of
Ann Arbor announce the birth of their
daughter, Jamie Catherine (Sheindle).

Zvulon and Barbara Haddad of Oak

of their son, Noam David. Proud broth-
er Moshe Chaim, 6, is delighted to have
his long-awaited playmate. Noam is the
grandson of Fern Selling of Southfield
and Rivka Haddad of Netivot, Israel.
He is the great-grandson of Celia
Wilson of West Bloomfield. Noam is
also the grandson of the late Harley
Selling and the late Moshe Chaim
Haddad.

the Torah as a bat
mitzvah at Havdala
services on Saturday,
April 1, at Temple
Israel. She is the
daughter of Donna
and Robert Burgher

Krause. Excited great-grandmother
is Estelle Blanks.
An honor student at West
Bloomfield's Abbott Middle School,
Laura plays the clarinet and piano,
and also enjoys drama, forensics and
creative writing. Because of her love
for animals, her most meaningful
mitzvah project was volunteering at
a local kennel. She also donated to
Yad Ezra.

Jackie S. Dunayevich will become a
bat mitzvah at
Temple Israel on
Saturday, April 1.
She is the daughter
of Janet and Jake
Dunayevich and sis-
ter of Amy. Proud
grandparents are
Lilya and Sam Basin
and Sima Dunayevich. She is also
the grandchild of the late Abraham
Dunayevich.
Jackie's most meaningful mitzvah
projects were donating to the Denby
Center orphanage and the Holocaust
Memorial Center; she also volun-
teered at Templeisrael. Attending
O.E. Dunckel Middle School in
Farmington Hills, where she is an
honor student, Jackie is interested in
playing the piano and sports, such as
track, wrestling and basketball.

Dana Rose Katz will be called to the
Torah as a bat mitz-
vah on Friday,
March 31, at Temple
Israel. She is the
daughter of Rhonda
and Larry Katz and
sister of Stacey and
Jessica. Her proud
grandparents are
Isadore and Adrienne Goldbaum
and Johnny and Suzie Katz. She is
also the granddaughter of the late
Dorothy Katz.
Dana is an honor student at O.E.
Dunckel Middle School in
Farmington Hills. She enjoys com-
petitive tap dancing, tennis and
computers. For her mitzvah project,
Dana and her friends organized a
fund-raising party for the Denby
Center orphanage. She presented the
Denby Center with stuffed animals
and a new ping-pongtable with the
funds raised from the party. She also
volunteered at Temple Israel Nursery
school.
