• Volunteer with new Americans:
serve as a conversational English tutor
or citizenship coach (tutor for the citi-
zenship examination). Groups may
want to provide a resettlement shower
for a newly arrived family.
• Serving seniors: volunteer as a .
grocery shopper, friendly visitor or a
social activity volunteer at the Margot
and Warren Coville Assisted Living
Apartments.
• Hospice volunteers: provide con-
solation and assistance to terminally ill
clients and their families to enhance
their quality of life throughout their
remaining days. Visits may take place
at the home, hospital and/or nursing
home.
• Office volunteers: schedule trans-
portation for older adult, assist in the
Meal Elderlink phone lines and assist
with the agency filing and data entry.
JFS also relies on professionals
(attorneys, accountants, physicians,
dentists, etc.) who offer pro bono ser-
vices to clients in need. For informa-

Donation Made
To Foundation

During the Passover holiday,
Manischewitz kosher wine and its con-
sumers will make a donation to
Survivors of the Shoah Visual History
Foundation.
In lieu of the standard mail-in rebate
promotions usually offered at Passover,
the Manischewitz Wine Co. will focus
its promotions on cause-related market-
ing. Survivors of the Shoah Visual
History Foundation was established in
1994 by Steven Spielberg to videotape
and preserve the testimonies of
Holocaust survivors and witnesses so
that future generations can learn from
the past.
Consumers can go to their local
wine retailer and look for the Shoah
Foundation refund offer on
Manischewitz wine bottles. With the
purchase of any size or flavor bottle of
Manischewitz wine, subject to the con-
ditions stated on the mail-in refund
coupon, consumers can send in the
refund offer and register receipt.
Manischewitz will donate up to $2 to
the Shoah Foundation. For each
coupon returned, consumers can elect
to receive a $1 refund and donate $1 to
the foundation or donate the entire $2.
