"When I began to attend programs, I
began to realize all that was being done
with health programs and legislative
advocacy," says Luria, now serving as
organization vice president for the
Greater Detroit Chapter.
Luria's focus is on developing groups
according to professions and special
interests. Currently forming a group for

attorneys, she also is looking to organize
educators and social workers. A business
and professional women's lunch and
learn is being set up for those who work
in downtown Detroit.
"These will offer participants a
chance to grow and express themselves,"
Luria says.
