The scenario: A young man - or woman
- fresh out of college launches a stellar
career. A born leader with big plans.

The Jewish community, unfortunately,
isn't part of the plans.

Penny and Harold Blumenstein know it
happens, time and again, and they want
to do something about it. As communal
volunteers themselves, they'd like to
turn young adults with promise into
future Jewish community leaders.

The place to start? Israel.

They've seen it work.Young people
who experience Israel and visit overseas
Jewish communities often come back
committed - to their Judaism and to
their own community.They come back
ready to give back.

That's why Penny, Harold and their
children - Randall and Marcie, Lauren
and Jordan, and Richard and Carol -
have created the Blumenstein Family
Young Adult Israel Mission Fund
through the Jewish Federation/United
Jewish Foundation Millennium
Campaign ibr Detroit's Jewish Future.

By subsidizing study trips, missions and
Israel education programs for young
men and women with leadership
potential, the Blumensteins hope to
light a spark.

And who knows? Maybe there's a future
Federation president among them ...

THANKS A MILLENNIUM.
