Meredith and Albert Ernst of East
Lansing are pleased to announce the
engagement of their son Jeffrey Michael
Ernst to Carrie Lisa Zinaman, daughter
of Robert and Arline Zinaman of New
City, N.Y.
Jeffrey is a graduate of East Lansing
High School. He earned a bachelor of
science degree in philosophy, magna
cum laude, from Princeton University.
Following graduation, he attended the
Darche Noam Yeshivah and the Pardes
Institute of Judaic Studies, both in • - -
Jerusalem. He will attend Harvard
University Law School in the fall. He is
employed by the U.S. Department of
Justice, Southern District of New York.
Carrie is a graduate of the Frisch

Yeshivah in Paramus, N.J. She earned a
bachelor of science degree in biology
and the history of science, magna cum
laude, from Harvard University. In the
fall, she will complete her final year at
Cornell University Medical School.
Jeffrey is the grandson of Dr.
Laurence and Carryl Alexander of East
Lansing and Scottsdale, Ariz., and the
late Helene and Irwin Ernst. Carrie is
the granddaughter of Nat Zinaman of
Edison, N.J., the late Ida Zinaman and
Norm and Beatrice Engel of Suffern,
N.Y., and Lauderhill, Fla.
A September wedding is planned in
New Rochelle, N.Y. The couple will
reside in Cambridge, Mass.
