The Scene

Two Jews, two views and lots of shmooze.

T

orah on Tap" is follow-
ing a recent trend in
adult Jewish education:
a little bit of tradition in
a non-traditional setting.
Rabbi Joseph Krakoff of
Congregation Shaarey Zedek and
Rabbi Joshua Bennett of Temple
Israel hosted the first session in
their,three-part series for young
adults on Feb. 27 at Copper
Canyon Brewery in Southfield. It
was titled "Double Vision: Two
Jews, Two Views, Let's Shmooze."
At 7 p.m. April 2, the two rab-
bis will return to Copper Canyon
for "Who Knows Ten: What
Plagues Us and How to Improve
our Jewish Lives." On May 7, the
two will shift to the Lodge in West
Bloomfield for "Sex, Porn and
Modern Culture: Our Bodies as
Holy Vessels." ❑
