Bar/Bat Mitzvah

Jordyn Bellet will be called to the
Torah as a bat mitzvah on Saturday,
March 11, at
Congregation Beth
Ahm.
Jordyn, a sev-
enth-grade honor
student at Abbott
Middle school in
West Bloomfield, is
the daughter of
Joanne and
Michael Bellet.
Participating in this happy occa-
sion will be her sister Ashley and
her grandparents David and Jean
Blau and Louis and Jeanne Bellet.
In December, Jordyn celebrated
her bat mitzvah on Masada in
Israel. For her mitzvah project,
Jordyn worked at the Lighthouse,
serving food, and has volunteered at
Jewish Association for Residential
Care, where she helped out with
Chanuka and the monthly bingo
games. Her extracurricular activities
include dancing, swimming and
playing the piano.

Joshua Matthew Borson will be
called to the Torah as a bar mitzvah
on Friday, March
10, at Temple
Israel. He is the son
of Beth and Dr.
Robert Borson and
brother of Lauren
and Adam. Excited
grandparents are
Ruth and Charles
Danto and Dr. Fred
Borson. He is also
the grandson of the late Frances
Borson.
A student at Orchard Lake
Middle School in West Bloomfield,
Josh enjoys playing all sports, but
especially hockey. His most mean-
ingful mitzvah project was donating
to the Karmanos Cancer Institute in
memory of his grandmother.

Jenifer Lauren Colburn will cele-
brate her bat mitzvah on Saturday,
March 11, at
Congregation
Shaarey Zedek. She
is the daughter of
Michele and David
Colburn and the
sister of Erica.

Colburn. Jenifer is also the grand-
daughter of the late Sherwood
Colburn. Jenifer is lucky to have
Vera Stern as her great-grandmoth-
er. She is also the great-granddaugh-
ter of the late Harold Stern.
Jenifer is an honor student at
Orchard Lake Middle School in
West Bloomfield. She enjoys danc-
ing, skiing, snowboarding and writ-
ing. Her mitzvah projects included
volunteering at Congregation
Shaarey Zedek's Beth Hayeled nurs-
ery school and making picture
frames for the children at Alyn
Hospital.

Evan Joseph Conroy will become a
bar mitzvah at Temple Israel on
Friday, March 10. He is the son of
Elaine and Richard
Conroy and brother
of Ryan. Excited
grandparents are
Ann Conroy and
Harry Goldberg.
He is also the
grandchild of the
late Marilyn
Goldberg and the
late Richard Conroy.
Evan found it particularly mean-
ingful to help when Temple Israel
housed the homeless. Attending
Walnut Creek Middle School in
Walled Lake, where he plays trom-
bone in the school band, Evan
enjoys music and sports.

Andrew Garon will be called to the
Torah as a bar mitzvah on Saturday,
March 11, at
Congregation
Shaarey Zedek
B'nai Israel.
Andrew is the son
of Lori and Larry
Garon and brother
of Bradley. Proud
grandparents are
Dee and Seymour
Brode, Bernice Garon and Fred
Garon.
Andrew is an honor student at
Hillel Day School of Metropolitan
Detroit in Farmington Hills, where
he played on the basketball and ten-
nis teams and ran on the cross-
country team. Andrew's favorite
mitzvah project was assisting at the
Orchards Children's Services holi-
day party.
