"SHE SAID: Things to do this
winter continued . . . in the privacy of
your own home, rent Big Night with
Tony Shaloub, Stanley Tucci and
Isabella Rossellini. This flick is for
anyone who delights in the process of
creating fabulous food. Have some
friends over for a night of 'comfort
food'... find a couple of really great
soup recipes ... some 'comfort' music
... I like the Living Out Loud (1998)
soundtrack, featuring Queen Latifah,
Etta James, Mel Torme, Dean Martin
and George Fenton. Another great
pick: B.B. King, Blues on the Bayou
(1998). Have a great glass of red wine
... I suggest a '97 Ironstone Vineyards
Merlot ($10) ... ever in disagreement,
HE suggests the '97 Bogle Cabernet
($10). To wrap things up, try the
cheesecake from Pastries by Ellen in
Sylvan Lake ... or heck — head out to
Costco and get what you want! My
favorite comfort-food recipe came
from the late Bob Talbert's column in
the Detroit Free Press ... I'll include it
here:

this time: the City of Big Shoulders

there are so many excellent restaurants
that I try not to eat at the same place
twice ... but of course I have a few
exceptions. For Italian ... attached to
the Motel 6 on Ontario ... a cozy
place — I wouldn't bet that it seats
more than 30 — Coco Pazzo. The
menu isn't deep, more quality over
quantity ... perhaps the most perfect
