Sarah and Irving Pitt are the sort of
grandparents any kid could love:
warm, loving, generous to a fault.

When they heard there was a growing
need for day care settings where
preschoolers could learn and play among a
multitude of Jewish experiences, the Pitts
knew exactly what to do.

They made a substantial gift through the

Millennium Campaign for Detroit's Jewish
Future, sponsored by the Jewish Federation

and United Jewish Foundation of
Metropolitan Detroit.

With their commitment, the Pitts are
making it possible for the Jewish
Community Center to redevelop and
expand its Child Development Center on
the Marcia and Eugene Applebaum Jewish
Community Campus in West Bloomfield.

It's good news for working parents who
seek day care in a Jewish environment for
their children. And it's great news for the
250 youngsters from infancy to age 4 who
will learn together how much fun it is to
be Jewish.

Sometimes, a Jewish community needs a
little TLC from grandparents. And the Pitts
are just the folks to give it.
