Major General (ret.) Shlomo Gazit
will be the scholar in residence
Saturday, March 16, to Sunday,
March 26, for the Labor Zionist
Alliance, Na'amat USA and the
Jewish Community Council of
Metropolitan Detroit. The national
sponsor is the American Zionist
Movement in cooperation with the
World Zionist Organization
Department of Information.
Gen. Gazit was the first adminis-
trator of the administered territories,
head of the IDF military intelli-
gence, president of Ben-Gurion
University, director general of the
Jewish Agency, member of the Jaffee
Center for Strategic Studies in Tel
Aviv, a distinguished fellow for
scholars in Washington at the
Harvard Center of International
Affairs, Prime Minister Shimon
Peres' adviser and special delegate to
PLO Chairman Yasser Arafat.

Dr. Jerome S. Kaufman of
Bloomfield Hills, national secretary
of the Zionist Organization of
America, and Rabbi Herschel
Finman of Oak Park, host of the
"Jewish Hour" radio program, will
be guest hosts of "Open Doors" at
6:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 20, on
WDIV-TV Channel 4.
The theme of the program will be
"Understanding True Wisdom,
Wealth and Honor." It will be based
on the Sayings of Our Fathers.
"Open Doors" has been on the air
for 25 years. Once a month, the
show features Jewish opinion on a
topical issue. The show is the project
of the Anti-Defamation League.
