MURIEL UNGER GILBERT, 81, of

South Bend, Ind., died Jan. 28.
She is survived by her daughter and
son-in-law, Ellie and Joel Schaumberg of
Wolverine Lake; son and daughter-in-
law, Stephen and Sharon Gilbert; grand-
children, Ricky Brunetti, Dr. Jennifer
Schaumberg, Melissa Schaumberg, Sam
Gilbert, Seth Gilbert, Saul Gilbert; sister
and brother-in-law, Janice and Sydney
Finkel; brother and sister-in-law, Adrian
and Jean Unger. She was the beloved
wife of the late Stanley Gilbert; the lov-
ing mother of the late Patsy Brunetti.
Interment in Indiana. Contributions
may be made to American Cancer
Society or the Alpha Omega
Foundation. This announcement was
placed at the request of the family by
the Ira Kaufman Chapel.

and its Rena Costa Center for Yiddish Studies
mourn the passing of

Sarah Friedman}"`

Along with her beloved husband of sixty-six years, Moshe, and her
children, she created the Friedman Yiddish Teachers Program at
Bar-Ilan, providing Yiddish teachers of excellence throughout
Israel's high schools. Sarah represented and promoted the highest
standards of intellectual pursuit and achievement in the Yiddish
world for seven decades. She will be deeply missed.

ATHEL ROSE GINSBERG, 79, of

Livonia, died Feb. 8. Mrs. Ginsberg was
a member of the Disabled American
Veterans Auxiliary.
She is survived by her daughters,
Barbara Rothman of Livonia, Bernice
and Terry Wynn of Belleville; grandchil-
dren, David and Kim Damesworth, Aric
and Lois Rothman, Mickey and Diane
Rothman, Amanda Rothman, Wendy
and Patrick Welsch, Todd and Debbie
Wynn, T.J. and Maureen Wynn; great-
grandchildren, Joshua and Jessee
Damesworth, Jacob Rothman, Jory and
Kayle Welsch, Eric and Brianna Wynn,
Rebecca, Trevor and Jarrod Wynn; sis-
ters and brother-in-law, Dorothy
Goldgrab of New York, Ruthie and
Harry Shuster of Ontario; brother and
sister-in-law, Harvey and Rhoda
Schleiffer of Ontario. Mrs. Ginsberg
was the beloved wife of the late Harry
Ginsberg.
Interment at Adat Shalom Memorial
Park. Contributions may be directed to
Alzheimer's Association or the American
Diabetes Association. Arrangements by
Ira Kaufman Chapel.

May her daughter Betty as well as her entire family, be comforted
by the legacy that she has left.
