Slates Talk

The annual conference on medical and
professional ethics hosted by Machon
L'Torah in conjunction with Botsford
Hospital will be Sunday, Feb. 13, at the
hospital.
The program will start with registra-
tion and breakfast from 8-9 a.m. and
will end at 5:30 p.m.
Presenters include Rabbi Yaakov
Feitman of Cedarhurst, N.Y., author
and principal of the Hebrew Academy
of Suffolk County; Rabbi Shmuel Irons,
co-founder and dean of the Kollel
Institute of Greater Detroit; Rabbi
Avraham Jacobovitz, founder and direc-
tor of Machon ITorah, the Jewish
Learning Network of Michigan; and
Dr. Julian Jakobovits, attending physi-
cian at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore and
assistant professor of medicine at Johns
Hopkins University School of
Medicine.
The conference meets the criteria for
seven credit hours in category one, con-
tinuing medical education credits of the
American Medical Association
Physician's Recognition Award of the
AMA. It is also accredited by the
American Osteopathic Association for
category 2A CME credit, as well as for
nurses continuing education units.
Partial participation per individual cred-
it hour is possible.

members of the legal
profession. The Caredozo Law Society
provides community members with
Jewish learning, involvement and net-
working opportunities.
In private practice, Judge Howard
specialized in labor and administrative
law. He also served as special assistant
attorney general under Frank Kelly.
He is president of the Michigan
Judges Association and a member of the
academic advisory committee and facul-
ty of the Michigan Judicial Institute of
the Michigan Supreme Court.
David Harzon is the Cardozo Society
chair. The breakfast is sponsored by the
Tau Epsilon Rho Law Society, the
International Association of Jewish
Lawyers and Jurists and the Cardozo
Society.
