Bar/Bat Mitzvah Carla Schecter will become a bat mitz- vah on Friday, Feb. 11, at Temple Emanu-El. Carla is the daughter of Susie Schechter and Kim and Larry Schechter and sister of Noah and Joey. Carla is an all-A honor student at Clarenceville Middle School in Livonia, where she sings in the school choir and is on the girls basketball team and stu- dent council. Carla's mitzvah projects at the temple included working with the pre-school and at the JARC (Jewish Assocition for Residential Care) Chanuka party. Proud grand- mother is Gertrude Salinsky of Farmington Hills. Michelle is also the granddaughter of the late Charles Salinsky and the late Thomas and Freda Collyer of London, England.
