GIL HARAMATI, 17, of Israel died Jan.
15 in a motorcycle accident.
He is the grandson of former
Detroiter Hillel Grossman Haramati of
Kibbutz Ein Dor, Israel. He is also sur-
vived by his parents, brother and sister.

EVELYN ROCHLEN HAYMAN, 81,
of Bloomfield Hills, died Jan. 29. Mrs.
Hayman was a life member of Infant
Service Group and Hadassah.
She is survived by her sons and
daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Rita
Rochlen of Bloomfield Hills, Donald
and Arleen Rochlen of Birmingham;
grandchildren, Leslie Rochlen, Beth and
Laurence Zuriff, Aaron Rochlen,
Elizabeth Rochlen, David Rocheln;
great-granddaughter, Sophie Zurith sister
and brother-in-law, Bea and Hy Shapiro
of Baton Rouge, La. Mrs. Hayman was
the beloved wife of the late Benjamin

ANETTA HAZAN, 92, of West
Bloomfield, died Jan. 25.
Sht is survived by her son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Isidor and Shula Hazan of
Southfield; brother and sister-in-law,
Anriko and Fika Konfino of Alberton,
Georgia; sister, Suzana Alkaly of New
York, N.Y.; grandchildren, Dr. Ann
Hazan and Steve Sibulkin, Tal Hazan.
Mrs. Hazan was the beloved wife of the
late Sam Hazan.

ANN LERNER, 92, of West
Bloomfield, died Jan. 30. For 42 years,
Ms. Lerner was a clerk for the city of
Detroit Treasurer's Office. She was a life
member of Hadassah.
Ms. Lerner is survived by.her brother,
Max Lerner; nephews and nieces, Lester
and Shirley Waldman, Libby Waldman,
Lois Waldman, Carl Lerner and Brenda
Waldman.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.

SALLAN LURIE, 83, of Boca Raton,
Fla., died Jan. 26. A native of Detroit's
east side, Mr. Lurie was owner of
Silvercraft, Inc., a plating company he
founded with partner Norman Merkin
in 1945. After his partner's death, Mr.
Lurie maintained and expanded the
company, which is now run by his chil-
dren.
He was also a founding member of
the Jewish Parents Institute.
Mr. Lurie is survived by his wife,
Ethel Lurie; son and daughter-in-law,
Neil and Elizabeth Lurie of Farmington
Hills; daughter, Dale Lurie of
Farmington Hills; grandchildren, Shira
and David Lurie.
Interment at Adat Shalom Memorial

ALICE ROSEN, 88, of Southfield, died
Jan. 29. Mrs. Rosen was a member of
Women's American ORT, Hadassah,
U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in
Washington, American Jewish Congress
and a lifelong, founding member of Adat
Shalom Synagogue and its sisterhood.
She is survived by her son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Norman and Ronna Rosen of
Bloomfield Hills; daughter and son-in-
law, Marlene and William Oleshansky of
West Bloomfield; grandchildren, Nicole
and Michael Menuck, Owen Rosen,
Marlyn and Tom Cupelis, Tony
Oleshansky, Bradley and Alison
Oleshansky, Gregg Oleshansky and
fiancee Ashley Wainer, great-grand-
daughter, Paige Cupelis; brother and sis-
ter-in-law, Martin and Elaine Mahler.
Mrs. Rosen was the beloved wife of the
late David Rosen; the dear sister of the
late Mary Mauler Morris.

WILLIAM I. SLAPIN, 70, of River
Edge, N.J., died Jan. 23. For many years,
he was a musician for Frank Sinatra and
Ray Anthony. He had served in the
Korean War.
Mr. Slapin is survived by his wife,
