Hospital received
10 grants — several from restricted
funds — for various department pro-
jects. They range from visual enhance-
ment and automated narcotic-dispens-
ing systems to a nursing student-loan
program, lecture series and programs
for injury and violence prevention.
In separate action, the Jewish Fund
awarded $1.6 million to Sinai-Grace
Hospital to purchase two pieces of
clinical equipment related to the car-
diac care program.

of the grants awarded over the past
two years have been the catalyst for
new partnerships and resources in the

intervention for preschoolers and young
school-aged children with sensory and
learning deficits.
• Lula Belle Stewart Center Inc.:
$40,000 for outreach, education and
medical care for pregnant teens and sup-
port for their families.
