Concert Set

Melissa Seligman, 29, of Royal
Oak, who went on the singles mission
in 1998, looks forward to being on
this year's veterans bus. "I can not
wait to experience the overall trip
again," she said.
Michelle Goldstein, 30, of
Birmingham, trip leader for the veter-
ans bus, said, "People love this trip
and there is so much to see and
explore beyond the first experience.
The veterans bus will be designed like
the singles trip, but with a new itiner-
ary with alternative, less-mainstream
activities, like hiking, outdoor adven-
tures and political events.
"We will break off, yet reconvene
with the main group for all the
evening and social times," said
Goldstein, who has been on the trip
three times. "This way, people can go

hosted by the Young Adult Division
of the Jewish Federation of

Saturday, Feb. 26, at the Seligman
Family Performing Arts Center at
Detroit Country Day School, 13 Mile
and Lahser roads, Beverly Hills.
The concert will feature the
Borromeo String Quartet with James
Dunham on the viola. There will be
an afterglow dessert reception follow-
ing the performance. The quartet is
presented by the Chamber Music
Society of Detroit.
Event chairs are Paul Sulverman,
Lee Trepeck and Nancy Goldstein.
Cost is $54 per couple. Reservation
deadline is Friday, Feb. 18.

TAD Promotes Joshua Cohen

Joshua Cohen has been promoted to director of the Young Adult Division
of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit. He was formerly a cam-
pai.gn associate at Federation.
Cohen will oversee the programming and campaign activities of YAD, a
volunteer, charitable, social and educational organization for Jewish singles
and couples ages 21-35.
Cohen graduated with a master's degree in social work and a Project
StaR/Judaic Studies certificate from the University of Michigan. He also
attended Hebrew University and is a song leader at community functions.
