Bar/Bat Mitzvah

daughter of the late Morris Fealk and
Shoshanna Cheskis. She is the great-
granddaughter of the late Avraham Tzvi
Kutnick.
Becca is an honor student at O.E.
Dunckel Middle School in Farmington
Hills. She previously attended Norup
Middle School in Oak Park.
For her mitzvah projects, she engaged
elderly patients in conversation at a
nursing home, assisted Mothers Against
Drunk Driving in preparing packages
for use in anti-drunk driving campaigns,
prepared a peace garden at her school
and performed community-helping pro-
jects with the Woods Strivers of
Huntington Woods.
Becca especially enjoys writing short
stories and poetry, and her work was
published in a recent Anthology of Poetry
ofYoung Americans. Her interest in poet-
ry is reminiscent of her great-grandfa-
ther, Avraham Tzvi, who wrote poems in
Hebrew and Yiddish. In addition, she
plays league soccer and studies dance.

Jamie Michelle Glassman will celebrate
her bat mitzvah at
Temple Israel on
Friday, Jan. 28. She is
the daughter of Sheri
and George Glassman
and sister of Rachael
and Michael. Excited
grandparents are

and Robert Moses.
Attending West Hills Middle School
in Bloomfield Hills, Jamie enjoys soccer,
swimming, dancing, basketball, volley-
ball and camp. Her favorite mitzvah
project was babysitting during the High
Holidays.

Torah as a bat mitzvah on Friday, Jan.
28, at Temple Kol
Ami. Jessica is the
daughter of Esther
and Marty Gold and
sister of Scott and
Jillian. Proud grand-

Jessica is an honor
student at Warner Middle School in
Farmington Hills, where she belongs to
her school basketball team and plays
clarinet in the seventh-grade band.
Jessica's mitzvah projects included
raising money for the refugees of Kosovo
and working with children from the
Sarah Fisher Home.

Erica Lauren Kleiman became a bat
mitzvah on Saturday, Jan. 22, at Adat
Shalom Synagogue. She is the daughter
of Michelle and
Robert Kleiman and
the sister of Jordan.
Proud grandparents
are Raechel and
Leonard Nagel and
Aileen and Harvey
Kleiman.
Erica is a seventh-
grade honor student at Hillel Day
School of Metropolitan Detroit in
Farmington Hills. She enjoys skiing,
tennis, golf and dancing.

Stephen Eric Watzman will be called to
the Torah as a bar mitzvah on Saturday,
Jan. 29, at Temple
Shir Shalom. He is the
son of Janice
Watzman of West
Bloomfield and Jeffrey
and Kimberly
Watzman of Franklin.
Stephen is also the
younger brother of
Brandon and Taryn. Proud grandparents
are Ethel and Arnold Berman of
Southfield and Mike Watzman of West
Bloomfield.
Stephen attends Orchard Lake
Middle School in West Bloomfield and
enjoys animals, computers, football and
spending time with his friends.

Alexis Monique Zimberg will be called
to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on
Saturday, Jan. 29, at Adat Shalom
Synagogue. Alexis is the daughter of
Debbie and Jerry
Fixler and Steven
Zimberg. She is sister
to Ashley Fixler and
Zachary Zimberg. The
proud grandparents
are Madge Pollak,
Morris and Lillian
Fixler, and Shirley and
Donald Zimberg. She is also the grand-
daughter of the late Alexander Pollak.
An honor student at Clifford Smart
Middle School in Commerce Township,
Alexis enjoys music, drama, dancing,
cheerleading and summers at Camp
Tamarack.
As part of her mitzvah project, she
completed Adat Shalom's 13 Mitzvot
program. Her most meaningful project
was volunteering at the annual holiday -
carnival of Orchards Children's Services.
She also collected toys for Orchards
through a toy drive at her middle
school. In addition, she has chosen to
make a contribution to Yad Ezra to feed
the homeless for one year.
