Film Fest
Last year's Jewish Community
Center's first annual Lenore Marwil
Jewish Film Festival was a rousing
success.
Established with a generous endow-
ment from Milton Marwil in memory
of his wife, Lenore, the festival
screened such film gems as Soleil;
Mah-Jongg: The Tiles That Bind; A
Letter Without Words; All of It and
many more. It also brought in speak-
ers and filmmakers to address the film-
going audience.
This year's festival will run April
30-May 7. In addition to some of the
best contemporary films on Jewish
themes, the second annual festival will
introduce the "Focus on Film" panel
discussion series. Guest critics, pro-
ducers and directors again will
enhance the viewing experience for all
members of the Jewish community.
The film festival is a costly endeav-
or, and the Jewish Community Center
is seeking financial support to ensure
that this community event continues
into the future. Many sponsorship
opportunities are available, ranging
from $250 up to $10,000, and contri-
butions are tax deductible.
For more information about spon-
sorship opportunities, call David
Magidson at (248) 661-7649.
