I

f you think that success has come
easy for musician Beck Hansen
--- think again.
Beck (as he is known) hit the
ground running i in 1993 with the hit
,
single "Loser,' a song with such memo-
rable lyrics as, "I'm a loser baby, so why
don't you kill me?"
The singing sensation has gone on to
earn praise for his innovative style of
mixing old, bluesy sounds with more
modern influences. And though at 30
he is living the high life, things weren't
always so rosy for the two-time
Gram Award winner.
