The Travel Department of the
Jewish Community Center of
Metropolitan Detroit will offer sev-
eral vacation opportunities in the
coming months.
A trip to Palm Springs and Long
Beach is set for Feb. 8-29 and
includes full breakfasts daily, 12 din-
ners and tours. Cost is $2,849 for
members and $2,999 for non-mem-
bers.
Stay in Scottsdale, Ariz., from Feb.
9-23 or Feb. 9-March 1 at the
Holiday Inn Old Town. Included are
full breakfasts and 12 or eight dinners.
Cost is $2,099 for members; $2,249
for non-members. A stay in Scottsdale
and Las Vegas is set for Feb. 9-March
1 at $2,799.
Foreign travel trips include the fol-
lowing. A visit to Jewish Cuba will be
Feb. 13-21 at a cost of $2,339. A visit
to Costa Rica will be made Feb. 28-
March 6, which will include daily
breakfasts, three lunches and two din-
ners; $1,975 for members and $2,125
for non-members.
Cruise aboard the Stella Soaris from
March 13-23 to Honduras,
Guatemala, Belize, Mexico and Ft.
Lauderdale. Costs vary. Cruise to
Scandinavia and Russia from June 29-
July 10 aboard the Brown Princess
Costs vary.
For day trips in the metro area,
consider the following. Fosse, a musi-
cal, will be seen at the Fisher Theatre
2 p.m. March 19; $75 for members
and $80 for non-members. Der
Rosenkavalier will be seen at the
Detroit Opera House 1:30 p.m. April
13; $35 for members and $40 for
non-members. The Van Gogh exhibit
at the DIA will be visited 10 a.m.
May 17 and will include an acoustic
guide.
Some overnight and short excur-
sions include the following. A stay
in Washington, D.C., May 8-12 at
the Holiday Inn on the Hill will
include all breakfasts and most din-
ners. A trip to Toronto to see The
Lion King includes a stay at the
Delta Chelsea Hotel Aug. 4-6.
Options include dinner and show
Friday evening and Saturday
evening.
