25th anniversary
in the rabbinate.
In anticipa-
tion of Rabbi
Roman receiving
his honorary
doctorate in
March from the
Hebrew Union
College-Jewish
Rabbi Norman
Institute of
Roman
Religion, the
congregation will
offer study and worship throughout
the day, Saturday, Jan. 29. Guest
rabbis will offer interpretations of
the weekly Torah portion.
Reservations are required for
lunch; there is a fee for the meal.

Keynoter M.
Gasby Greely, senior vice president
of development and communica-
tions of the National Urban League,
will speak 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 17,
at the church located at 33 - E.
Forest, at Woodward.
Greely will present some of the
findings from the National Urban
League's recently published annual
report, "The State of Black America,
a Look at Race Relations in
America." Reservations are required
for the program, which is free and
open to the public. For information
