College Aid
Meeting Set

Jewish Vocational Service will host a
parent information meeting on the
Jewish Educational Loan Service and
additional financial aid options for
college students 7 p.m. Wednesday,
Jan. 26, in the JVS library in
Southfield.
JELS Coordinator Marvin Berman
will discuss how to apply for an inter-
est-free loan offered through JELS.
The loans are open to metro Detroit
area Jewish residents and administered
through JVS, Hebrew Free Loan
Association and Jewish Federation of
Metropolitan Detroit.
Berman will discuss the availability
of financial assistance through state, fed-
eral, institutional and private sources.
Although the meeting will be directed
• toward parents, students are welcome.

Interfaith
Discussion Set

The Interfaith Connection will present
"Let's Talk," a three-part discussion
series for interfaith couples. One partner
must be Jewish.
The sessions will be 7-8 p.m.
Thursdays, Jan. 13 and 27 and Feb. 3 at
the Agency for Jewish Education of
Metropolitan Detroit, 21550 W 12
Mile Road, Southfield.
The per-session charge for "Let's
Talk" is $5 per adult. Childcare will be
provided with advance notification.
The Interfaith Connection is a
program of the Agency for Jewish
Education and co-sponsored by the
Jewish Federation of Metropolitan

Jazz Classes

Lianne Paskel will teach two seven-week
jazz classes for first-through-third
graders at the Jewish Community
Center in Oak Park.
Both clasess will begin on Monday,
Jan. 24. The girls ja77 classes are 4:30-
5:30 p.m. and 6-7 p.m. The cost is $64
for members and $80 for non-members.
