Introduction to Talmud & Rabbinic Literature

This course will explore the historical development of rabbinic
literature from its Pharisaic beginnings, through its expression in
Talmud and Midrash, and into the modern responses of both
Orthodox and Reform rabbinic scholarship. All material will be
studied in English translation.
