Mr. Schneider was an executive in the steel service center industry. He worked for Kasle Steel Corporation and Edwards Iron in South Bend, Ind., Schwartz Steel in Marshalltown, Iowa, Katz Steel in Merion, Iowa, Zenith Steel in Duluth, Minn. and Intertrade Steel in Cedar Rapids. He was partners with his son, Jeff in an antique car and car detail shop. He was a member of B'nai B'rith, Anti-Defamation League, Kiwanis and Elks and was a hospital volunteer. Mr. Schneider is survived by his wife, Bertie Schneider; daughter Andreya Schneider of Cedar Rapids; sons and daughters-in-law Ron and Margee Farley Schneider of Lawrence, Kan., Jeff and Sharon Schneider of Cedar Rapids, Lance Mendel of Durham, N.C.; brother Lou Schneider of West Bloomfield; sister, Rae Offerman of Livonia; grandchildren John and Travis Schneider, Emily and Jessica Schneider, Richard Mendel.
