Dr. Smart E. Kirschenbaum, vice president of
the Michigan Jewish Sports Foundation, will
appear on a WDIV-TV documentary 2 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 25, Joe Louis: Legacy of a
Champion.
Dr. Kirschenbaum, former state boxing
commissioner, will discuss_ the Michigan
Jewish Sports Foundation's gift to the city of
Detroit of the boxing glove that Louis used to
knock out Max Schmeling in 1938. The glove
is on permanent display in downtown
Detroit's Cobo Center.
