Rave Party
On Dec. 25

Metro area Jewish young adults will
be able to dance into the night on
Saturday, Dec. 25, at a Rave Night
sponsored by the Young Adult
Division of the Jewish Federation of
Metropolitan Detroit.
The party begins at 9 p.m. at the
Magic Bag on Woodward, north of
Nine Mile Road in Ferndale. The
evening features dancing, snacks and a
raffle.
Arthur Gluzman is chair of the
event. Cost is $10 at the door.

Capital Trip

If they register and pay in full by Dec.
31, young adults who plan to attend
Washington 12, the annual United
Jewish Communities National Young
Leadership Conference in March, will
be eligible for a special drawing that
could get their entire registration fee
covered.
The Jewish Federation of
Metropolitan Detroit, which is a co-
sponsor of the March 19-21 confer-
ence, is holding the drawing as an
incentive for early registration. The
conference will bring together an
estimated 3,000 young Jewish lead-
ers, ages 25-45, to discuss global
issues and meet legislators and top
government officials in Washington,
D.C.
Local chairs are Hadas Bernard and
Paul Silverman. Shelly Katz and
Steven Weinstock are chairing social
events. Organizing the Detroit Hill
visit are Bryce Sandler and Judge
Helene White.
Fee for the conference is $400 for
those registered before Jan. 1; $440
afterward. Hotel and airfare are extra.
To reduce the cost, the Jewish
Federation will provide a $200 sub-
sidy to attendees from Detroit who
make a minimum $200 pledge to
Federation's Annual Campaign.
