This Life Cycling Group is held in 10 two-hour sessions, beginning Jan 11, 2000. The course is open to men and women of all ages and explores Judaism in a friendly no-pressure environment. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Angel Berger of West Bloomfield; daugh- ter Susan Berger of Clawson; sister Bernice Herman of Albuquerque, N.M.; grandchildren Scott (Marla) Berger, Stacy Kurinsky, Shay (Kristina) Berger; great-grandchil- dren Emma, Harrison and Justin. Arrangements by Dorfman Funeral Direction. MORRIS M. TILL- INGER, 80, former Detroiter of Fort Wayne, Ind., died Dec. 14. A native of Montreal, Mr. Tillinger came to Detroit as a child, attended Cass Morris Tillinger Technical High School and Michigan State University. He had been in the auto parts and scrap metal business and was retired from Omnisource Corp. A captain in the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II, he partici- pated in the D-Day invasion and later served in the Korean War. He was a member of the Jewish War Veterans and of B'nai Jacob Synagogue in Indiana. Mr. Tillinger is survived by his wife, Doris; daughters Helen, Katherine, Marie and Jenny; eight grandchildren. Full military honors were accord- ed Mr. Tillinger at interment ser- vices in Fort Wayne. CHARLES UPFAL, 83, of Farmington Hills, died Dec. 14. He is survived by his wife, Wela Upfal, sons and daughter-in-law Jack Upfal of Chandler, Ariz., Mark Upfal of Ann Arbor, Nathan and Rochelle Upfal of West Bloomfield; grandchildren Emily, Julia, Jessica and Joshua Upfal. Interment was at Adat Shalom Memorial Park. Services and arrangements by Hebrew Memorial Chapel. BARBARA WEISS, 57, of Las Vegas, died Dec. 16. She was born in Detroit and lived in Michigan and Florida before settling in Las Vegas. She is survived by her brother, Leslie Feldman of Miami; children Paul S. Weiss of Columbia, Md., and Eric M. Weiss of Las Vegas; grandchild Connor Benjamin Weiss. Memorial services were in Las Vegas. Services and interment were in North Lauderdale, Fla. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. EDWARD ZACK, 90, of Orchard Lake, died Dec. 15. Mr. Zack was a quality control inspector at American Motors. He is survived by his wife, Rose Zack; daughters and son-in-law Elaine and Gary Trahey, Joyce Vivoda; grandchildren Lauren E. Trahey and fiance Jared Morton, Leah Beth Trahey.
