cation. As a heart-transplant recipi-
ent, Morganroth Was asked to speak

this year's recipient of the city's
Sarah Hardy Humanitarian Award
for leadership in human rights. The
award is named for an outspoken
advocate of human rights who
founded the Traverse City Human
Rights Commission in 1969.

Northwood University in Midland
as one of 11 Distinguished Women
for 1999.

Dennis P. Dickstein of Bloomfield
Hills, president of Ralph Manuel
Realtors, was awarded the Norman
Cohn Hope Award at the annual
meeting of the Michigan Chapter of
the National Multiple Sclerosis
Society. The award recognizes the vol-
unteer of the year and is presented to
an individual who has made a signifi-
cant contribution to the MS cause.

Swarthmore College Democrats and
was appointed to the Dean's
Advisory Council.
