minority within their own coun-

"I know, on the other hand,
that they're not — they don't have
peace-loving motives in mind.
This has to do with national
pride. Israel has to decide whether
or not it's in its own best interests
(to negotiate with Syria). I don't
think that it can make its decision
based on the motives of Syria; it
should make its decision based on
its own national interests. I
