weekly companion to a special-needs

Peter Alan Shear was called to the
Torah as a bar mitz-
vah on Saturday,
Dec. 4, at
Congregation Shir
Tikvah. He is the son
of Enid Shear of
Farmington Hills and
Brian and Linda
Shear of Huntington
Woods; he is the
brother of Maximilian. Proud grand-
parents are Bernard and Helen ,
Weisberg of Franklin and Meyer and
Betty Shear of West Bloomfield.
Peter is an eighth grader at Norup
Middle School in Oak Park. He enjoys
in-line skating, in-line hockey and com-
puters. His mitzvah projects included
working at Tyndall Center, being a big
brother to a young friend and donating
food to Yad Ezra.

Carly Rose Weintraub will celebrate
her bat mitzvah during Havdala services
at Temple Israel on Saturday, Dec. 11.
She is the daughter of Teri and Wayne
Weintraub and sister of David and
Michael. Excited grandparents are

Saturday, Dec. 11, at Temple Emanu-
El. Michael is the son of Amy and Bill
Zavier and brother
of Jaime and Ethan.
Proud grandparents
are Pola and Sender
Zawierucha, Rae
Mucasey and John
Mucasey.
Michael is an
honor student at
Norup Middle
School in Oak Park. His interests
include reading, soccer, basketball and
playing the saxophone.
For his mitzvah project, Michael
delivered food through the Meals on
Wheels program, worked at temple
and with the Detroit World Outreach
in the children's and city outreach pro-
grams.

married recently in Paris, France.
Rabbi Rivon Krygier officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Viviane
and Jackie Crasson of Paris. The
groom is the son of Bobbi and Roger
Gottfried of Birmingham and Michael
Jaron of Oak Park.
Hannah Duke, niece of the groom,

was the flower girl. The couple were
honored to have friends and relatives
from Michigan, California, Texas,
Georgia, England, Switzerland and
France share in their simcha. A
Michigan celebration is planned for
the spring.
