Relief Aid
For Turkey

The Jewish Federation of
Metropolitan Detroit is accepting
financial donations for the relief of
earthquake victims in Turkey.
Donations to the American
Jeewish Joint Distribution
Committee Turkey Relief Mailbox
will be used for nonsectarian earth-
quake relief. Those wishing to ear-
mark their donation for use in
Turkey's Jewish community should
note this on the memo line of their
check.

Marion Freedman
Receives Award

Marion Freedman, director of the
Neighborhood Project, received the
Jewish Federation's fourth William
Avrunin. Fellowship in Continuing
Professional Education at the Nov.
23 combined board meeting of
Federation and the United Jewish
Foundation.
Freedman is president of Temple
Beth El and has worked with the
Neighborhood Project for nearly 12
years.
The Neighborhood Project, a
direct service program of Federation,
seeks to enhance the vitality of the
Jewish community in Oak Park and
Southfield by offering interest-free
home loans and home improvement
loans, sponsoring special events and
fostering community-building activi-
ties.
