least in addition to the traditional children's classics
and novelty songs? How about rockin out for Chanuka?
'I'he '90s have seen a great sea change of Jewish singer-
songwriters researching and rediscovering their roots, some-
times incorporating the search or the revelations or the infi-
nite questions that arise into their secu-
lar pop music.
Chanuka, which celebrates religious
freedom, is a perfect time to listen to
rock 'n' roll that comes from Jewish
