Dan & Betty Kahn Building of the Jewish Community Center in West Bloomfield and working one-on-one with a child of special needs through the Friendship Circle. Carly is the daughter of Marcia and Jeffrey Edelstein and sister of Alexander (Alex) Ivan. Her proud grandparents are Dr. Bruce and Carolyn Prouse of El Cajon, Calif., and Sandra and Norman Ordower of Windsor. Her special great-grandmother is Renee Edelstein of Orchard Lake. Carly is also the granddaughter of the late Ivan T. Edelstein. Carly is an eighth-grade honor student at Las Flores Middle School in Dove Canyon, where she plays cello in the string ensemble and is an editor of the school newspaper. She is active in the United Synagogue Youth and enjoys French, music and collecting foreign dolls.
