Katie Blender will celebrate her bat
mitzvah on Saturday, Nov. 13, at
Congregation
Shaarey Zedek. She
is the daughter of
Carol Karbal
Blender and Dennis
and Anita Blender,
and the sister of
Abbey. Proud grand-
parents are Arleen
and Michael Karbal,
Eleanor and David Blender, and
Esther and Jakob Liwazer.
Katie is an honor student at Derby
Middle School in Birmingham. She
enjoys playing clarinet, skiing, and is
an avid swimmer. She spends her
summers at Camp Tamarack.
Her mitzvah projects included vol-
unteering at Yad Ezra and the Jewish
Family Service's Fall Fix-Up.
During a tour of Israel with her
family last summer, Katie chanted
from the Torah from atop Masada.

David Andrew Bonner (Gur David)
will celebrate his bar mitzvah at
Temple Emanu-El
on Saturday, Nov.
13. He is the son of
Tina and Eugene
Bonner and the
brother of Meagan,
Caitlin, Emily and
Sarah. His proud
grandmother is
Olivia Bonner.
David is an eighth grade student at
Jane Addams Middle School in Royal
Oak. His hobbies include in-line skat-
ing, skateboarding, video games and
computers. His mitzvah projects
included working at the temple Purim
carnival and spending two-and-a-half
weeks with preschoolers at the Temple
Emanu-El Camp Get-Away last sum-
mer.

Israel. Scott is the
son of Kathleen
Wilson-Fink and
Harvey Fink and is
the brother of
Shannon Fink.

grandparents Carole
and Don Wilson and great-grand-
mother Edith Stockdale. Scott is the
grandson of the late Harry and Sylvia
Fink.
