Learning Minyan
For Women

Meeting Focus:
Women's Health

Eilu Eilu, the adult Jewish learning
project of the Detroit Conservative
movement, has announced plans for a
new Rosh Chodesh learning format for
women, a morning minyan with prayer,
study and music. It will start with Rosh
Chodesh Kislev, Wednesday, Nov. 10.
Congregation Beth Shalom in Oak
Park hosts each minyan starting at 9
a.m. It includes a full Shacharit service
for Rosh Chodesh, including Torah
reading with explanations of the various
parts of the service.
Leading the service for Kislev will be
Ruth Marcus of Beth Shalom. Ruthellen.
Singer of Adat Shalom Synagogue will
be the Torah reader. Susan Krakoff of
Congregation Shaarey Zedek will
explain portions of the service and teach
the study session at the conclusion of
the service. The next minyan at Beth
Shalom will be on Rosh Chodesh Tevet,
Friday, Dec. 10, from 9-10:30 a.m.
Eilu Eilu is underwritten by Adat
Shalom, Beth Abraham Hillel Moses,
Beth Shalom, B'nai Moshe, Hillel Day
School, Shaarey Zedek and the Women's
League for Conservative Judaism-
Michigan Branch. It is also a beneficiary
of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan
Detroit's Max M. Fisher Jewish
Community Foundation.
All interested women in the commu-
nity are welcome to participate in this
free, drop-in series. No reservations are
