couldn't hire these folks.

Considering
C onsidering the hours they put in,

you couldn't afford them.

They're homemakers, lawyers, teachers, retirees,

social workers, doctors, students.They're the

people who bring joy to the lives of the aged,

advocate for individuals with disablities, raise

funds for Federation's Annual Campaign and, yes,

serve on task forces and boards and committees.

They're the people who volunteer for the Jewish

Federation and its agencies.

They don't do it for payment — unless you count

personal satisfaction as payment. And yet they

keep on devoting their time, talent and heart to

our community and our people.

Why do they do it? Maybe because it's the right

thing to do. Maybe because tikkun olam

—

repairing

the world — is the Jewish thing to do.

Lend a hand. Be a volunteer.

Education Department, (248) 203-1470.
