Oct. 26. Mr. Apt was born in
Niederaula, Germany, and graduated
from the Teachers Seminary in
Wurzburg.
He is survived by his wife, Miriam

Brenda Apt of Oak Park, Rabbi Dovid
and Sarah Apt of Oak Park; daughter
and son-in-law Bernice and Rabbi
Avrohom Hershoff of Jerusalem; 12

BLANCHE BARON, 89, of Walled

Lake, died Oct. 26.
She is survived by her daughter and
son-in-law, Adrienne and Paul Shwedel
of Walled Lake; grandchildren Alysa
and Craig Hantgan, Dr. Emily
Shwedel.
Mrs. Baron was the beloved wife of
the late Saul Baron; loving mother of
the late Edward Baron.

FREDERICK BERKOWITZ, 84, of
West Palm Beach Beach, Fla., formerly
of Detroit, died Nov. 1.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria

LEO BIGELMAN, 88, of Tamarac,

Florida, died recently.
He was a the founder and president
of Modern Office Supply Company, a
member and past president of Probus
Club of Detroit, member of National

Stationers Organization, charter mem-
ber of Tam O'Shanter Country Club
and a contributor to numerous Jewish
charities in Michigan and Florida.
Mr. Bigelman is survived by his chil-
dren, Rhoda and Sheldon Goldman,
Donald and Leslie Bigelman, Jerrold
and Marianne Bigelman; grandchildren
Cindy and Marshall Clayton, Steven
Prenzlauer and Mark Jacobson, Randy
and Louise Bigelman, Joey Bigelman
and Jessica Bigelman; great-grandchil-
dren Rachel Clayton, Amy Clayton,
Stacy Clayton and Cassidy Bigelman.
He was the beloved husband of the
late Celia Bigelman.

HELEN BRESLOW, 84, of Illinois,

died Oct. 30. Mrs. Breslow was a past
president of Temple Beth Emet
Sisterhood in Evanston, Ill., and a past
president of the Chicago Chapter of
Women's American ORT.
She is survived by her daughters and
son-in-law, Dr. Loretta Polish of
Bloomfield Hills, Fran and Jeff Gibbs
of Reston, Va., Irene and Gerald
Eisenberg of Highland Park, Ill. grand-
children Jonathan and Ari Polish,
Benjamin Gibbs and Mara, Sarah and
Harris Eisenberg.
Mrs. Breslow was the beloved wife of
the late Dr. Lawrence Breslow.
