Benefit Aids Mental
Health Services

The Michigan Psychoanalytic
Foundation will present an All Hallows
Eve Ball for adults on Saturday, Oct. 30,
at Dearborn's Ritz-Carlton Hotel.
Proceeds will benefit community mental
health services and programs, such as
Kadima, JARC and Jewish Vocational
Service.
The evening begins at 7 p.m. with a
cocktail hour, followed by a strolling
supper. Viennese coffee service, with
sweets and fruit, will be served until 11
p.m. Chairs for the event are Bill Nixon
and Audrey Bornstein.
The psychoanalysts, psychiatrists,
psychologists and social workers of the
foundation, teach, lecture, consult and
provide treatment throughout the com-
munity free of charge. A low-fee treat-
ment clinic is available for evaluation,
treatment and referrals. A grieving cen-
ter for children is being developed with
Hospice of Southeastern Michigan and
Orchards Children's Services, both based
in Southfield.
The Foundation supports the Jewish
Federation of Metropolitan Detroit's
Partnership 2000 business/educational/-
social/cultural exchange with the central
Galilee region. Six foundation delegates
will visit Israel in November to work
with colleagues in the Jezreel Valley.
The All Hallows Eve Ball will include
interactive displays by artists demon-
strating painting, drawing, weaving, tile
making and jewelry. Other features are
wine tasting, a silent auction of mer-
chandise, sports memorabilia and tickets
and vacation properties, as well as a raf-

entertainment along with professional
dance instruction.
